The 2026 Open Day will take place on
Saturday 24 October 2026
Following the success of last year’s event we are delighted to be running another Open Day this year.
The Open Day is for anyone who can read music, who wants to see what it’s like to play with a small friendly orchestra and a very patient conductor. You might be learning an instrument, or have learnt to play in the past. Everyone is welcome!
The event takes places at St Columba’s Church, Portree. On the programme for this year:
- Prokofiev – ‘Dance of the Knights’ from the Romeo & Juliet Suite
- Sibelius – Finlandia
- Beethoven – Symphony No. 5, 1st and/or 4th movements
